Notes on Microsoft/Novell Anouncement: SUSE Linux/Windows Interoperablity

Microsoft and Novell made an abrupt disclosure via their web cast site that there would be a VERY IMPORTANT announcement. That announcement occurred at 2:19pm PST/5:19pmEST. This announcement is important to large scale Enterprise and Server/datacenter operators as well as the developer community. It offers more choices, opportunties and technologies to IT operators around the world.

Microsoft Corp. CEO Steve Ballmer will deliver an announcement during a press conference today, Thurs., Nov. 2, in San Francisco beginning at 2 p.m. Pacific time / 5 p.m. Eastern time. Details of the announcement will be provided during the press conference.

John Kerry on Iraq? Soldiers are stupid, Vote Democrat or die, or Bush is stupid?

This is not a polital blog, but I am missing something here and maybe you all can help me. I hear a lot of talk about how the Kerry statement was just a joke, but I don’t understand how Kerry could not have expected this not to be taken as anything but a direct insult.

I started thinking on this more when a good friend of mine, from Florida, sent me this picture last night in an email:
Soldiers to Kerry: Message Received!

This is in response to a recent Kerry speech in which he said:

“You know, education, if you make the most of it, if you study hard and do your homework, and make an effort to be smart, uh, you can do well. If you don’t, you get stuck in Iraq.”

TCC’s Moderate Specific Posts plugin

Louie Alfred Gomez asked a question on the WordPress Hacker’s list yesterday about the best way to moderate all comments on specific blog posts. He was hacking the core WordPress code, which all of you who have just updated know is a bad idea.

I whipped out this plugin to show him an alternate solution. If anyone else finds they might need this, I’ll add a configuration screen and turn it into a zip file
